Applications at Majors

When applying for the majors, do they want you to list all aircraft types you've flown and how many hours in each? Regionals make you do this and it becomes a real pain in the a$$ when you have flown like 35 different types and you have to figure out how much PIC that is not dual given you have in everything. It would be nice if you could just list piston singles, piston multi, and then time in different turbine types.

It's even more important at the majors to list every aircraft you have ever flown along with the total flight time in each type. They need to know this to see if you are a "well balanced" aviator with experience in a large variety of aircraft. It shows that you are versatile and can easily transition to a new aircraft type.

The applications I have seen only wanted to know Category and Class for recip, Category and Class for turbine. Type ratings, and some want Jet time broken out, too.

If you're talking about airlineapps.com, they suggest grouping them by similar kinds...ex: piston single fixed gear Low perf (i.e.: C152, 172), piston single fixed HP (C182), piston single retract LP/HP, piston multi retract LP/HP, etc.

I've noticed it's a lot easier when using an e-logbook.

That's what I was looking for. Airlineapps makes you do it, I've heard Chautauqua makes you do it, and I've heard of others. I just figured when I get to the point where I'm applying for majors I'd be able to group them as was said above.
