Ahh, Flightinfo, the home of intelligent debate.

well considering what side of the intelligence your on. I can understand the direction this thread has taken......

You know, it just hit me. Your prior excuses to PFT, are very much similar to those excuses that F/O used to fly that spirit turn.... Interesting. Now wonder the ALPA gods like you in their little basement.....

APA would have walked on the amendable date (5/08).

We would walk now. (IF we could get released by the mediator--Mike Tosi has been a social dinner guest of AMR management.)

APA membership is not waiting for ANY other union to 'lead the way', they're just getting bashed by management and their lackeys in the DFW press and the shills at the ATA because of the inferior contracts at UAL, CAL, Delta, NWA, etc.

It's tough to make a case for getting your pay back (that was given up on the courthouse steps) when you've got a DB pension and higher pay rates than your comparison group.

So, Rez, APA isn't waiting on the ALPA carriers, we're waiting on a corrupt mediator to release us. (AND, we're asking for way more than the Spirit and HA contracts. Not demeaning them, just trying to raise the bar.)

But wait!!!! Mike Tosi has ALPA credentials! He would never sell a pilot group down the river.

Prior to joining the NMB, Mike completed a career as a commercial pilot flying for several major airlines. He retired in March from US Airways. During his more than twenty-nine year career, Mike acquired experience in labor relations from both a management and a union perspective. He served as a Team Manager at People Express Airlines managing more than three hundred fellow employees. And, as chairman of US Airways' largest ALPA council and as a representative on its Master Executive Council, Mike served on the pilots' governing body during US Airways' continuous efforts to restructure itself, and as it emerged from Chapter 11 in 2003. Mike also served as a member of the ALPA National Appeal Board.

Anyone else take issue with PCL's signature 'FUPM!' being co-located with his avatar 'WE ARE ALPA'? Just a thought PCL, but if I were interested in advancing the cause of ALPA by attracting educated and informed members, this brass-knuckle thug approach would not be one I would recommend.

This line of reasoning is precisely why organized labor has fallen sharply out of favor in recent years. Airline management teams should be thanking you for helping them portray pilots as out-of-touch, spoiled goons.

Yeah, and Mike Tosi would never say "FUMP!" It's downright un-lady-like.

Tosi was a master at engineering the destruction of the piloting career while he was a big time ALPA boy. Everything he touched turned into a win for the Company. No Joke: the PHL Chief Pilot's office threw him a PARTY upon his retirement. That's just the type of wonderful guy they thought he was. You be the judge as to whether Tosi is a pilot advocate.

The pilot Tosi advocated for most was....well.....Tosi himself. He did pretty well hiding under the ALPA umprella.

I didn't realize ALPA dues are buying the extra thick knee pads for the former PFT child.
