Yeah, you're right. I guess Rich Trumka, head of the AFL-CIO and a member of the United Mine Workers, should show up to the White House to meet with the President next time in overalls and miner's helmet. That'll really get him somewhere with the leader of the free world.

Prater is a millionaire, he's been on the job for more than 2 years, remember his originol campaigne promise not to accept the obscene salarie?

ALPO about money, taking it from the members.

Don't forget that.

You raise an excellent point! Business suits are too bourgeois. I would expect more proletariat style clothing with the union leaders. Think Kim Jong-il, and Hillary Clinton, now those two guys are snazzy dressers!

I'm wondering if PFT boy, made a deal with the devil. He gets forgiven for PFT etc in exchange he carries water for alpa as one of their lackeys, and agrees to be tied up in a cellar in Herndon twice a month smothered in KY for the use of the great ones leading alpa.....

He never made such a promise. I still have his campaign mailings, and that promise is nowhere to be found. The President's compensation is drafted by the Special Compensation Review Committee and approved by a BOD Delegate Committee before the elections for the national officers are even held. They aren't even allowed in the room when the votes are taken on their compensation packages by the full BOD. They have no input and no control over their compensation.

And like I said, he's very far from a millionaire. A $300k per year salary doesn't lend itself well to becoming a millionaire in a few short years.

Actually when you get so many other allowances (housing, vehicle, etc..) it goes a really long way to becoming a multi-millionaire. At least you are providing a nice comfortable pension for him.

Nope, not really. He still maintains his normal home far away from DC for his family, and he has to use the allowances for staying in DC.

At least you are providing a nice comfortable pension for him.

After this term, he's only entitled to a 20% pension.

Rez and PCL, you both can take this entire thread and shove it up your a$$. While your doing that take a look around maybe you'll find your heads up there.

Anyone else take issue with PCL's signature 'FUPM!' being co-located with his avatar 'WE ARE ALPA'? Just a thought PCL, but if I were interested in advancing the cause of ALPA by attracting educated and informed members, this brass-knuckle thug approach would not be one I would recommend.

This line of reasoning is precisely why organized labor has fallen sharply out of favor in recent years. Airline management teams should be thanking you for helping them portray pilots as out-of-touch, spoiled goons.
