I am a current CRJ FO at an unamed regional airline looking to try getting on with Pinnacle. I downloaded the app, but I can't find the pilot part of it to fill out. If anyone has any information it would be great.

Thanks

I guess you didn't see his avator, huh??

You don't need to fill out no stinkin' application online, just send us a resume, or better yet, have someone walk it in, that seems to be the sure way to getting called. Hope it helped.

So he works for an unnamed CRJ operator? POssibly Mesa? That's not a good enough answer. One has to have reasonings behind going to an airline... I'm just curious to know why he wants to go to Pinnacle. He might as well asnwer the question... since they'll probably ask in the interview.

FO

Just fax a resume to the number on the website or if you want a call for sure have somebody walk it in. If you don't know anybody pm me and we can talk. I had a guy who was in week 3 of ground school carry my resume in so it doesn't really matter who walks it in as long as it gets in front of the person who calls. Just be sure you want to make a horizontal move before you go through the hassle and the unpaid training. While every airlines has its problems it is hard to believe you would want to come to Pinnacle now. The street captain thing was a fluke and every award since that has been filled by our FO's and a lot of high time FOs are starting to realize our growth is stopping next spring so they better grab a CA spot while they can. Our union is telling most new hires to expect 5 year upgrades or more with the contract negotiations coming up and escpecially with this new NWA TA. Good luck and the grass ain't always greener

Thanks for the info everyone. I do work for independence and will be getting the axe in Feb. I wanted to go to Pinnacle because I most likely can get based in DTW since I went to school at WMU and grew up in the area. Oh, did I mention that my wife makes all the money in the family. I will be in touch with you "flagshiper" thanks for your help.

Air Wisconsin is "sort of" hiring. You might think about shooting a resume to Appleton.

FYI - if you want another DTW option, you could look into Mesaba.

FO

No offense or anything but with Northwest's (soon to be) newfound unrestricted ability to add another Airlink Mesaba is more screwed than ever. Those 40 50-seaters to be outsourced had Mesaba's name written all over them. It really will be a sad day in the Northwest family when our mainline brothers collectively decide to sh*t on us. Sadly that day is approaching.

Walk in

I can tell you that I did have somebody walk my resume in about a month ago. I was told that unless you have your ATP written done you will not even be a consideration. It is a new requirement of Pinnacle candidates, so I just got that done recently and faxed my results in.
I am still waiting to hear back from them and I'm surprised it's been so long, but I do hear that the H.R. lady there is just slammed. Sure would be nice to get a call because I'm starting to get interviews coming down my pipeline now and I think Pinnacle would be a great company to be with if you can struggle through the "No Pay" training.

She is pretty 'slammed' as you put it - if you for sure want a call then get someone to walk it in and actually hand it to her.

Mtnjam,
If you can deal with the no pay durring training. I hate to tell you this but your going to half to stand behind all the Gulfstream guys that are interviewing next week. 60 guys with all but a couple getting hired. I hope you got a good laptop for all that hot reserve you'll be doing. And get ready for all the 1900 stories in training.

Get over the Gulfstream thing. There are many ex 1900 drivers here, not just from Gulfstream. Hell, I tell stories about past flying experience as well. I guess you don't. You must be really special.

NWA has always been able to bring onboard a 3rd Airlink if they choose. This is really nothing new. A 3rd Airlink will only be brought on board if UAL or USAir go Tango Uniform and shut the doors. This allows NWA to quickly fill the void that would be left on those existing markets/routes. NWA would get a turn key operation and be up and running tomorrow with it. As far as traditional growth goes, I wouldn't rule out XJ or Big Sky getting new planes down the road. It's not time to throw in the towel yet on XJ Growth.

Would being a ramper for Pinnacle help ones chances to get hired as a FO?

I'm no where near mins but just curious until that day comes. thanks

Yes, it would indeed.

We recently hired a few ex-dispatchers. This also helps in getting in with lower hours.

9e no longer has ready reserve since september of course that could change because the company hates us

That sucks with those gulfstream guys getting hired. **CENSORED****CENSORED****CENSORED****CENSORED**, i hope my seniority doesnt good pushed back any further. I interviewed a week ago and was offered the job and now i am just sitting and waiting. Does anyone know when the next ground school will be and if they will hire those pfters first and then the rest of us.

hey sir humpalot you better check you attitude before starting class at pinnacle. most of the their upper seniority pilots who did not come from gulfstream, pft'd, as did many other pilots at many other airlines. your going to have a tough life there by trashing pfters. not to mention gulfstream guys account for a third of the seniority list there. meaning those gulfstream pfters are going to be your captains.
