I'm about halfway through Rick Drury's book "Flightlines" and I was curious if anyone here ever flew with him or knows him. He never really says who he flew for, but I think it was FedEx. He retired about a year or two ago.

The book is pretty good. It's a collection of his columns for "Airways" from over a 15 year span. If you're a fan of E. Gann or Bob Buck then you should definitely pick it up.

It is a great book. All as you described.

Rick flew express freight for large US based airline, recently retiring from the MD-11 flying mostly to the Far East. Seems you already joined the dots yourself . . .
