I was going out to Vegas in July for this years World Series of Poker. Was wondering if there were any fellow poker players on these boards that might be heading out?

Don't have to travel far since I live there:pimp: Won my entry again this year in a single table sit'n'go...Game On!

Which satellites do you recommend? I won an entry into a $150,000 tourney a couple of weeks ago. I played in it yesterday on Paradise Poker and it was kind of a joke. There were 727 players. You have to get really lucky to win with that many folks. I have won lots of tourneys with 40-80 people, but 727 makes it pretty much a long shot.

About 6 months ago I played in a daily tournament at Binnions and came in 5th. It was pretty cool because the final table was lit up just like on TV.

Anyway, what satellite would you recommend for entry? Poker-Stars? How many players does it have? How much does the single table sit and go cost and which website is it on?

How many players are in the 1500nl tourney?

727 players? How about over 6,000 expected players this year in the WSOP at 10k a pop...60 Million in the pot is NICE! The top 600 +/- will make it into the money.

Party Poker has a lot of different tourneys/qualifiers to get into The Big Show. Also, in early July, a lot of the casinos will be have tourneys for WSOP entries.

Yeah, I know the Main event is huge, but how many players are in the smaller tourneys? Like the 1500NL tourney.

I looked it up myself. Here is the information for last years 1500NL tourney.

2005 REIGNING CHAMPION
Allen Cunningham $725,405
NUMBER OF 2005 ENTRIES 2,305

You gotta get pretty lucky to beat 2,305 people.

Yes, that is a lot of people but you have to remember that each tourney pays the top 10% so over 200 people got their 1,500 back plus some.
