Has anyone out there gone through the CAE pilot provisioning program for Lion Air? Or does anyone out there have experience flying for Lion Air? It's a pay for type training program, and I am not crazy about that. However, being unemployed is no fun, and I just don't see things picking up in the USA anytime soon. The best possibility I am finding here is doing some PT, corporate contract work. It might give me some flight time, but I'd be lucky to cover my training costs. It hurts to buy a type, but a 737NG rating and a few thousand hours of PIC time might come in handy in a few years. Or there's always the fast track at Lowes, Home Depot, etc..........

No, don't know anyone that's done it, and I'm not an advocate for paying for a type - actually quite against it, but again each one to their own. I see it's done at Southwest and nobody dare raises an eyebrow there. Again, I guess people are selective when it comes to this subject.

I hope you find something soon.
