Wow, that is an AMAZING statement above. It's good you feel so GREAT about your situation. If the MERGER does go through, you will be the largest domestic LCC, but still won't own all of the slots at the major slotted airports, (ORD, DCA, EWR, LGA) won't have the majority of gates at the largest airport in the World (ATL--DL owns 70%), and this merger will most likely force the DOT to allow the DL/US slot swap and allow DL to become the largest carrier at LGA and USAir at DCA. Your merger will allow it. And don't be fooled, the Air Tran guys would be foolish to go for DOH. They will let arbitrators look at this, which is prudent.

Regardless, I think you guys are AWESOME, and I hope you all have a FANTASTIC DAY! Do something nice when you can, like helping a granny across a busy steet. See ya!

Bye Bye--General Lee

Even the bottom guy will only have to work 15 days a month!

I'm concerned about a friend who was "synergized" out of his Certified Dispatcher job with my company and joined Da Tranny two months ago as an aircraft router or whatever the hell you guys call it in Orlando. I'm guessing his job will be "synergized" to Dallas by the end of next year.

This deal ain't gonna be roses for everybody.

HDQ will be in DAL.

Imagine some of those Air Tran FA sistas in SWA shorts during the summer - yeah, not so pleasant - but pretty PHAT...

Thanks! I just spewed some milk on my monitor.... :)

Congrats to the AAI folks - I couldnt be happier for ya. I know some good people in MCO Dispatch; only problem is now that it will just be that much more difficult to get into SWA Dispatch....

Let's just hope that the SWA culture does not take on any of Air Tran's customer service skills - have you ever met the AT gate agents in ATL? Terrible would be a compliment.

I totally agree! The integration will be easy compared to the daunting task of teaching customer service skills to the tranny gate agents! You hire good personalities, it's hard to teach it!

Also, taxi speeds will be a little different in Atlanta for LUV.

Sometimes you have to switch hands or even try the "stranger." It all works out in the end.

May be brilliant, may be good, may be a bad move.... time will tell. I have read nutz and anyone who doesn't see the departure of SWA from it's original strategy is delusional.
I suppose nuts is like stock picking though, everyone is an expert when looking back, and nuts never purported to be the roadmap for SWA forever. Time will tell....

I am a SWA supporter, SWA has treated me wonderfully since day one, and believe in our company. However, I believe we closed the book on Nutz years ago.
