Not sure how to do it, I have seen the site and the forms but they seem to all tailor to Air Carriers not individuals. Anybody ever do this? Uncover anything you did'nt think would be there?

Thanks

If you'd like to request your PRIA records, all you do is contact each 135 and 121 you've worked for. Get in touch with the training department, and have them send you a copy of what they would send to any requesting airline.

You are also entitled to any records sent to any prospective employer. When you fill out the PRIA paperwork, giving your current employer your permission to get your records from your previous employers, there is a box to check to indicate you want a copy of the furnished records.

There shouldn't be any surprises. Hope this helps!

Kinda a bad seperation with the employer, never failed a ride, drug test etc. I did ground airplanes on several mx problems. Worried that the employer will say incorrect things about me. Like I was fired when I really quit etc. The employer is a seedy little one too.

Thanks

PRIA records won't cover that - just training info.

I think the only question that can be asked anyway is if you are eligible for rehire. Someone else with more info might be able to help you with that one.

English is right. The PRIA will only cover your training records, and you do have the right to, at the vey least, view them.

There is an accompanying form that most companies send along with the PRIA request, but the questions are rather benign. It asks if the person has ever received addtional training, failed a training event, etc.

Legally the responding company must comply with all training record requests and also confirm employment dates and eligibility of rehire. That's all. And most requesting companies don't ask anything more than that.

Any and all discipinary actions taken by the company against you count, as do the circumstances for your separation from work. If you were fired they will tell a prospective employer that and there isn't a thing you can do about it if it is false other than explain it to your new boss and hope he is understanding.

PRIA, like many government-sponsored "ideas to improve the world" has strayed quite far from its originally itended mandate. Be cautious.
