NWA is in the middle of outsourcing their DC9's to regional airlines. This happened over a year ago when NWA ordered the CRJ's and E-Jets. It is rediculous to blame this pre-planned fleet change on Delta, or its' pilots. Most of this will happen by Winter Qtr 08.
We need to let NWA's problems sort themselves out. Wait for the NWA pilots to negotiate their own interim LOA with management and wait for their fleet to be rationalized.
If the DC9 refugees end up at Compass then Mid Atlantic is the most recent precedent to follow. If they get sucked into 787 and 757 slots, good for everybody, disaster averted.
