Any minimum taxi speed guidance at your airline?

Once last year while taxiing behind AirTran, it took over half an hour (too bad we didn't start timing from the time we got stuck behind them back on the ramp) from the time we got on SJ to the time we got to the end of RWY28 to take off. No one in front of us. It was just us two at far south end for take-off at the time.

To put that in perspective for the non-ATL guys, it normally take maybe 5 minutes at most at "average pace".

How fast do you taxi? Look at the airport diagram. It must be 3 or 4 miles. Yea, at 30 with no stops it is about 5 minutes. At 15 I made $12 more. Take your time!

We had a memo come out shortly after the new North runway opened up at IAH (Runway 26R/8L). Seems one of our 767's was doing about 60 knots on the way to the terminal as it came in from EWR. oops
