Anyone know of a free computer logbook that will do a nice enough job for an interview?

Thanks.

I made one in Excel/Access...took me about 2 hours to get all the tables and exceptions set up. Easy to format and print out...and much cheaper than buying LBP ;)

I keep a jepp book as well, though -- logging it on the computer and writing it all out later when I have the time.

I just recently made the jump and put 1600 hours into an access database. I set it up in the same format as the Jepp logbook and used it to audit my logbooks to make sure everything was up to snuff (it wasn't, I found 18 hours of xcty time among others things that I hadn't logged).

It took my two days to do it, and since it was in the same format as my logbook I could easily just enter the columns for each page at once which sped the process up considerably.

It can be exported to excel, or I can print a report out in access and tailor it how I wish.

I set up an Access one myself. Actually, I had to import the files from a commercially prepared program that proved unreliable.

Dumb question, since I've been out of the job hunting/interview market for some time now: Can you show up for an interview with printouts from a computer-generated logbook? Or do they still want you to haul all your previous paper logbooks (groan) with you?

Yes and no. There is no rule that says you have to log flights by hand. However, you do need to have any sign-offs/signatures you've received, so you still need your written log as well (or I suppose a photocopy would do, but that would depend on the preferences of the employer).
