As a Guard Guy never, ever say you are jealous of the Active Duty. At least we can still have a say in our life. They make more money but we can still say "no", unless activated.
Have you tried calling the Guard Bureau or AMC and trying to get 30/60/90/etc.. tours? They are always looking for people. I did a 90 day tour at TACC and it was pretty easy to get. The more experience you have as an aircrew member the easier it will be to find work.
