Another salary question

Actually I dont do a whole lot since you asked, however my a@@ is on as CP so I should be compensated as such. If you werent a regional loser you might have some understanding of how 135 regs work. Thanks for your input though.

Whats with some of these guys in the corporate world! Are you really a Cheif Pilot if you "manage" a one plane operation that rarely ever flies??? Do you guys just call yourself that because it sounds cooler to the chicks???

Exactly... but we are starting to fly a lot lately!

In reality here is what I do... flying is vacation to me.

Manage Maintenance, hire/maintain a copilot, stock the aircraft, make hotel/car/etc. reservations for everyflight, File Flight plans, provide financial documents for owners, handle aircraft related subscriptions, negotiate pricing for fuel, etc., Handle international ops, manage insurance, work on new aircraft purchases/sales, and this is only what I could think of while typing... im sure the list goes on.

well, Im not for gimmicky titles..."Director of Training" for example (the guy who calls FlightSafety and craves to be a manager, but isn't?)...

BUT....if being the "Chief Pilot" bumps you up 20-50K in the salary department? - ya, I'd call myself that. Most salary surveys DO reflect that title change.

keep in mind - an extra 20-50k DOES go further when it comes impressing the chiks....
