Fracster -

I'd suggest you contact your P2P Rep or a Steward if you want to know what's going on. My number is on the seniority list if you want to call me. No one posting here is going to say anything that will calm your fears but you may hear something on a phone call that will brighten your day.

What you need to ask yourself is why are you coming here.
Fracster- thanks for having me ask myself the question-seriously. May sound stupid, but never thought about it in such simple terms. I suppose the only positive (out of the many negatives) is that I am hoping the contract changes the pay-and perhaps other things I am unaware of.
I am not there yet & am not 100% sold on NJA.
Thanks for the info.

Remember this when you arrive. You will have NO grounds to whine ! You have been warned.

I know-I haven't interviewed yet or made up my mind. Is it possible to defer or do they need an answer for the next class once you are hired?

Thanks for the help.

Fracster, I'm the guy who posted on the NJA message board blasting the MEC earlier in the week. You know, the guy with the real sick avatar. Anyway, if there's someone out there that's a realist, it is me. Let me tell you, come June 23rd, the company is going to suffer with or without a Release.

The StrongUnion guys have made some pretty smart chess moves. Have you noticed that all the LOAs we're doing expire in June..hmm... Also, picketing and WSJ ads are going to be an incredibly effective weapon. Remember how angry BB got with a small article in the Columbous newspaper! With the addition of grounding airplanes left and right (yes, it can be done LEGALLY), the company is going to be crying. I, of all people, have been critical of the current MEC. However, I am confident that we WILL have a contract by July of 2005.

I'm not a betting man, but I'll happily bet on that.

An outsider.

Having friends in Frac-companys I know you guy's bust your nutz for the company. Just wishing ya luck in the near future. You deserve it.

Sla'inte,
daveman
