And you think this MEC will receive less than the 90% vote they just got the last time? We already have one of their 5 opponents who ran against them on our team now. The one who got the MOST votes of the 5 of them.

El, I am sure your MEC will have your support.

That was not the point. Hoggy was saying that he thought someone was suggesting the pilots vote out the MEC. Noone is suggesting or telling the pilots that. (in my opinion) Troll was only saying that they MEC has to go through another election BEFORE their three years is up.

Actually this is news to me, do you know anything about the MEC having to go through another election to certify the 1108?

That is why I suggested he speak to his union rep. I am sure the union rep has the straight scoop.

"Someday you will wake up and smell the recess that is if you ever get out of abeyance. Or you could gather some collective intelligence and vote in a MEC that can get you a workable contract."

The troll suggested it.

Always in contact with my rep.

See El Chupacabras post above.

This is OUR company. Not Mr Bill's. We will be here long after Mr Bill is gone the way of John Ferris.

El,

You should edit this post. It is not YOUR company. The company belongs the shareholders, the planes belong to the owners. Do you even own your uniform?

I would expect more intelligience from you than to fall for this type of bait.

This is MY country... but I don't own it. This is my company but do not own it either. Many of us are here for life possibly. Top management seems to pass through like a revolving door. I predict the same for the current batch.

You do own a piece of this country. You do not own a piece of this company. (unless you are one of the pilots who also own BH stock)

I just want you to know the constant war comparisons on this board- somehow thinking this negotiation can compare with SEA or Baghdad, is insulting to those who serve and their families. This is not war- gentlemen this is work.

Cry me a river. This is the first war reference i've seen on here. I was on KP duty before you were breaking the seal off your moms teat. Some have earned the right to make any reference to service, war, or these penny ante games that are being played out at work.

What have you done for your country today?

You do not know me, sir.
And it is not the first war reference I have seen.

Nothing yet, but I'm on my way.

I haven't done anything for my country yet today, but I am walking out the door to do just that.

The situation has all the details of a war. Agression, invasion, etc... etc...

Thankfully, there have been no fatalities.

To many this is a war, maybe not as you percieve it, but, perception is a very real thing.

Oh well, gotta go.

HAppy Fathers day to all those "on the road", and all those "serving everywhere".
