That 2000 hrs sounds fishy. I was the baby in my class with 4800, and 2 airlines worth of 121.

I have no idea when that was or whether you were hired. There is nothing FISHY about it, the company has been trying to hire pilots by the truckload. The one pilot I mentioned had reigional experience and a bunch of turbine. As the pool shallows more lower time guys will get a chance, sorry if you didn't. x

Sun Tzu is right. You need to get over it and look at the facts of your new MEC and what they are doing to you. They don't get it and won't get it. yes there are 7.3% of the pilots that support the MEC and what they are doing, but the rest are seeing their true colors. But if you like the status quo forever, then you have good leadership. If you like the company watching you closer because a few are creating situations that you think make a difference then go ahead. It can be a company of trust and goodwill but your Union leadership is ruining that. The more they promote actions the more rules will be put in place until the union wants to bargain in good faith.

Back under your bridge Troll. You sound like BB. Actions speak louder than words... This management team has commited both word and deed against this pilot group.

I was hired recently. My ststs are based on the guys in my class, not interview group. I hope they keep it well over 2500 hrs....

Get rid of the current MEC? Wow, that's a new one. This MECs hard work must be paying off up there in the Death Star if your asking us to throw them overboard already! Its only been six months! They have our complete support. Don't you worry.

Noone is asking you anything. The MEC will have to go through another election with the new 1108 IBT, before their three years is up.

If you are not familar with this part of the plan- speak to your union rep.

And you think this MEC will receive less than the 90% vote they just got the last time? We already have one of their 5 opponents who ran against them on our team now. The one who got the MOST votes of the 5 of them.

CMHTroll you just didnt get it !!! You are clueless, and your answer to my post shows it. Every pilot here knows what I was talking about. I was not supporting your post in any way. You are totally clueless and should stop making baseless posts. Imposters and the uninformed will be exposed everytime on here.

"Our MEC" is here, working hard, and will stick it out until "WE" accomplish what we set out to do. Sorry if that bothers you! If they were ineffective then you would not be slamming them on this board. You sound like one of the fab 5, or one of thier buddies. Bitter feelings will tear you up. You need to drop the MEC bashing and get over it. The last guys failed, and the membership proved this with an 82% message. I'm sure "OUR MEC" would get that number plus even more if we had an election today. On second thought I think you should continue your mindless posts so that WE can expose fakes like you!

El, I am sure your MEC will have your support.

That was not the point. Hoggy was saying that he thought someone was suggesting the pilots vote out the MEC. Noone is suggesting or telling the pilots that. (in my opinion) Troll was only saying that they MEC has to go through another election BEFORE their three years is up.

Actually this is news to me, do you know anything about the MEC having to go through another election to certify the 1108?

That is why I suggested he speak to his union rep. I am sure the union rep has the straight scoop.

We have an election for Local 1108 union officers. These are different than the MEC. We also have to vote on the bylaws.

Whoops I almost forgot. We also have to cast a vote on the Strike Ballot. So 3 things to vote on coming soon.

el, thanks.

The MEC is different than the union officers? Are the MEC people running for union officers?

So the MEC is not running for election to anything?

And yes, you have to authorize the MEC to strike whenever they are released without providing you further information.
Isn't that what the strike ballot is?

I thought the strike ballot election was this week? I also thought it was supposed to be last month. (I am not being sarcastic here). It is just that I have heard so many times about the "strike ballot" and it never comes.

I am sure it will- but what is the hold up? Is the IBT? MEC?

This is acronym heaven!

Thanks-

"Someday you will wake up and smell the recess that is if you ever get out of abeyance. Or you could gather some collective intelligence and vote in a MEC that can get you a workable contract."

The troll suggested it.

Always in contact with my rep.

See El Chupacabras post above.

We are on the old JAAT clock. I roll in with 20 and 2.75s and El follows with NAPALM. It is a beautiful site!

This is OUR company. Not Mr Bill's. We will be here long after Mr Bill is gone the way of John Ferris.

El,

You should edit this post. It is not YOUR company. The company belongs the shareholders, the planes belong to the owners. Do you even own your uniform?

I would expect more intelligience from you than to fall for this type of bait.

This is MY country... but I don't own it. This is my company but do not own it either. Many of us are here for life possibly. Top management seems to pass through like a revolving door. I predict the same for the current batch.

You do own a piece of this country. You do not own a piece of this company. (unless you are one of the pilots who also own BH stock)

I just want you to know the constant war comparisons on this board- somehow thinking this negotiation can compare with SEA or Baghdad, is insulting to those who serve and their families. This is not war- gentlemen this is work.

Cry me a river. This is the first war reference i've seen on here. I was on KP duty before you were breaking the seal off your moms teat. Some have earned the right to make any reference to service, war, or these penny ante games that are being played out at work.

What have you done for your country today?

You do not know me, sir.
And it is not the first war reference I have seen.

Nothing yet, but I'm on my way.

I haven't done anything for my country yet today, but I am walking out the door to do just that.

The situation has all the details of a war. Agression, invasion, etc... etc...

Thankfully, there have been no fatalities.

To many this is a war, maybe not as you percieve it, but, perception is a very real thing.

Oh well, gotta go.

HAppy Fathers day to all those "on the road", and all those "serving everywhere".
