Does Jetblue still do the phone pre-interview?

Thought I read somewhere you were notified of your selection to interview by email now.

Trying hard to patiently wait.......

crjdude:cool:

I interviewed in October and at that time they called you first to confirm your times on the application and to do a mini phone interview. Then if you pass that stage you'll get an email telling you what to do next. It is basically all the paperwork you'll need to fill out and send back prior to your interview. They will then call your references prior to you interviewing. After your interview you'll get notification by email on whether or not you have successfully completed phase I. Once that is done you'll wait for a while to see if you get offered the job during which time they will complete all the background checks on you. That's as much as I know cause I'm still waiting.

The processs changes and evolves. I went through it in the begining of this year and from what I've read they have made some changes. The best money I ever spent was with Aaron at Emerald Coast interview Consulting.

Good Luck

I just had a phone pre-interview earlier this week. A very nice lady called and was very helpful with the questions and told me about the whole process and what they were looking for.

She said I could look for an interview date around the middle of Jan.TC

Way to go TC!!! Looking forward to having yet another TWA'er on property! Let me know if I can help.

Counselair--I'm going to call Albie once I get the interview scheduled. I'm also checking with Ken P. in FL. Also, Vince is going to call me--but only on the weekend. He's too cheap to buy more minutes! TC

TC- If the "coach" is too cheap to cough up the dough for a 7-11 pre-paid calling card PM me. I'd be happy to help and I know a couple of other Red folks over here you didn't list.

TC,

I don't know you personally but yes, there are a lot of tee dubbers that you may know here that might help you out with online rec's as well. I know of 3 or more Ops folks that come to mind right away. Remember, the online rec's do not have to be from pilot's and every little bit helps, ya know.

I know of two Dispatcher's and a certain Manager of Flight Ops and a few others that were lifer's there, and most of them have been at JB since the git-go, so they are pretty connected if you catch my drift.

Good luck.

Jetblue320--Thanks. I've already got 3 people lined up. AND.... I tend to steer clear of former TWA management when looking for a new job.  TC

The coach will call you anytime day and night if you switch to Sprint, as he has unlimited sprint-to-sprint minutes. I spent several hours talking to him before his interview and during his training, he should be happy to be able to now give you his view from the inside.

However, the only thing Counselair is good for is pirate beard grooming tips . . .

For those who have recently received "the call.":

Does the phone interview still have the pre-interview interview format to it?
"Tell us about a time" type questions?

Or is it the standard interview set up type call? Dates available, etc....

thanks

crjdude--It's still a "mini-interview". "Tell me how you handled this if you ever encountered this situation--Say you have a drunk, naked flight attendant in your room and she consented before she passed out, is it still ok to nail her?" You know--"situation, problem, resolution" type questions.

Skygod--I just switched from sprint. That's why my cheapa$$ friends only call on the weekends!

Counselair--If I were you, I'd leave "something special" in Skygod's navkit! :p TC

Roger that. But seriously, these guys came over before TWA went away. I guess that makes them defectors. But they aren't your typical management types, they're regular Joe's.

Happy Holidays and Good Luck
