Means nothing--but if you look from his Line Service position, it means there's a lot of time to watch TV, maybe take in a few bowl games, wash the car, wash the airport dog, de-flea the dog, de-worm the dog, put air in the coutesy car, get the musty smell out of the crew car, etc.

Ground Delay Programs - AKA "GROUND STOP"

I got a "First Time" yesterday. I was just requesting taxi clearance to KASE when ground control told me "Hold on, they just instituted a Ground Stop for all KASE arrivals. It seems there is no ramp space on the airport! Don't really know more than that other than they say they will re-evaluate it in about 01+15". Then another "First Time" for me was clearence delivery position asked me if I had a cell phone they could call me on if things changed?"

Wow, a rotten mess and real service together!
