So, did the "bus drivers" come out of the cockpit and subdue him? Nope. That's up to the F/As and the pax.

Don't get a big head. You're locked in at that point. Safe. Its the back of the plane that's dealing with the issue.
OTOH an F-16's missile doesn't distinguish front end crew from back end crew . . .

4. If he did manage to gain access to the cockpit and was shot by a FFDO –
a. can you even try to imagine what the FFDO would go through dealing with that situation
b. That would be enough to ruin a person’s life/career and the impact to the family and the company

Whatchoo talkin' 'bout, Willis?

If someone broke into the flightdeck and got themselves shot, they will have deserved it, and the person who shot them would get a "job well done" from 90% of the population, and the other 10% . . . . well, they're busy "occupying" right now.

PS., I'm not an FFDO, but I'm sure they are indemnified in the event they use their training and Gov't issued weapon to do what they have been trained to do. Perhaps someone else can verify this.

That's what I was wondering.... Why was this guy allowed to survive the descent?
