Another air apps question

On the Delta addendum you have a choice of affiliations to choose from, one of which is Legacy. It lists a long list of who this could be.

It says only choose this option if you have the SUPPORT of that person.
My question is, what is the form of this support?

Or more precisely, do they have to take a specific action to express this support?

If you know someone in the industry it is considered a legacy. Basically is you relative is a airline employee, say yes.

The point is, I have a relative who works there. Do they have to take any specific action for me to select Legacy on the Delta part on air apps?

Again the word Support is the active word here.

Any ideas?
