A friend of mine has 'FLY 767" but the guy is a retired 76 Capt. Personally I think his plates were pretty cool since they were telling the truth. I used to have vanity plates that read 'E8USMC'. I earned it and I was proud of it. So why do you care what someone's plates say?

WIAV8R.....You know who you are fellow skyway pilot!

Doctors can be dorks too.

The other day a I saw a range rover with I OPER8. Surrounding the liscense plate he had I'd rather be flying MY PIPER. I had to give him the finger as I drove by. What a tool!

A friend had "FARAIM", but I think he countered the dork-factor with the license plate cover that stated "I love Farming"

There was a gentleman in the Arlington, WA
area that came out on the raw end of some
dealing with the feds...so he gets a vanity
plate reading FAA, and a custom plate frame
that said "the" in the top band, and "sucks!!!"
in the bottom band. Didn't make him any more
popular with the FSDO but I laughed
my A$$ off!

license plates

The POI that I had for my 135 certifcate years ago said, SKY COP

He got plenty of crap for that one.

Same subject but the best license plate that I've seen has been: PU55Y
I'm pretty sure he flies for Mesa now. lol

...or those STUPID holders...."I'm not driving fast, Im flying low". DURR! Top Gun....I feel the need for speed...

Just makes you wanna slap yo momma!

Just saw the same tags (747CAPT) yesterday in Denver on a new blue corvette with the top off. The guy looked really proud of himself. (you know Im just hatin' because if I was him, I would do the same thing)

Dh2

Took me long enough but I finally got it. What kind of plane is a DHC-2? (Just prolonging the suspense).

I did see one that while it was aviation related I thought it was great

EATDH2

very suprised they let that one through but I guess you kinda have to be an airplane dork to figure it out...

That is hilarious! I'm not into personalized plates, but I'd seriously consider this one!

0U812 - Van Halen album.

He didn't have this, though I'd like to get it for an old flight instructor I knew....NUMNUTS! :D

Just saw one today that is interesting. This guy has to be a pilot:

816D1CK

When you see it from a distance it makes sense.

The ones I think are dorky are those rounded stickers some put on their pilot cases. 737 , 747 , 757 . You know what I meant? I've seen a lot of them ...Me personally, don't like them.

uh yea....red vette in the central florida area saying "fltpay" whos at a flightschool because he busted out of Initial Class because he could not fly the sim? Hum yea....Make my life a living hell because you could not hack it!? Makes sense!

He He, I know exactly who you are talking about. I can't pass an initial class, but I can try to make some really good flight scholl standards. He will remain nameless, but is a very sad man.

The student parking lot(s) at Riddle were veritable gold mines for 'annoying aviation license plates'... But the only one that I can remember specifically is possibly the most annoying of all:

ATP2BE

Eeek...

One word.....Tool....and hes not flight stands anymore...he's corporate security...uh oh watch out

A little off topic, but did you guys see the tail number on the airplane in Indiana Jones: Raiders of the Lost Ark? It was OB-CPO, a nod to Star Wars.

LFTSEAT...and the guy's an FO.

Hey S,

I've seen that dude, a tool indeed. Actually it was my wife who reported this strange sighting and within a few weeks I saw it on the road myself.
