Good Lord I’m a dispatcher working in the trenches, not a salesperson. I’m not quite sure how this went from a request for some info on a good company to he’s the enemy trying to steal my job or sell a fractional share to my flt department.

Maybe it's because NJ dispatchers are worked to the bone. They dispatch everything from an ultra to a bbj. They work hard and are very appreciated from the line guys.

Again thanks for all the help that you guys give us. And good for you to be looking for other jobs or just keeping your options open.

Just because I ask about another company doesn't mean i'm asking for nja. I'm just asking.

I think this is called paranoia. Chill out boys. I'm sure the fracs know exactly what AB is doing. If they don't they all need new maketing teams. Jeez.

Our CEO and our CFO got personal letters from Netjets' CEO requesting to sit down and talk.

And they don't go after Flight Depts. ??? Sure...

This is funny... I know the flight department well, and don't think they will be going fractional any time soon. Not a chance actually. Also the job though not horrible, has some serious down sides. (pay, schedule, internal politics, etc.) but then again doesn't everything these days?

Been there, done that, I'm sure.

I would have thought Falcon Captain and all of his experience would have considered that any fortune 1000 company that has not been contacted at least 2-10 times by one or all of the fractionals must be a new start up company ???? AB was most likely one of the first to be contacted back when most of us knew nothing about fractionals.

Come on guys, think about it ? You think a dispatcher is doing the leg work for the marketing departments ? My last company was contacted at least once a month to the point that the CEO was annoyed by them. What they did accomplish is that he knew what they had to offer. So, the argument continues, they say they do not pursue traditional flight departments and I say nonsense (bull*&%$) ! The other day while in NJ, my plane was one of 8 on the ramp, we were the only one that was not a fractional jet, good for them, bad for us. The trend will continue however the personal/private approach that a traditional flight department provides is something that the fractionals will never come close to. I have flown too many execs that really are concerned with who is flying them today, they like to see a familiar face. And no slam to the fracs guys, they do a great job too.

However, I truely feel that this dispatcher may just be checking out what is out there, just like everyone else on this board !

Lighten up people.

paranoia??

I think any reasonable person wanting "information" from flightinfo.com without raising suspicion would probably do it under a name like, "rogerramjet," or "gearandflapoperator." Not NJdispatcher...... Poor guy probably just thought this was a normal friendly message board...

One thing is very clear though. The void between Corp and Frax is filled with at least some animosity and suspicion. This is subject matter for another thread......................

Most post was meant as a rhetorical question... Not further asking the same questions that were asked earlier...

I was trying to entice NJDispatcher to state his intentions clearly and to remove any ambiguity from his post so other would know his true intentions for which I was already aware. You can tell he is asking for his own use, and not for some other reason.

Fly Safe!

Market Database Services

Give the poor guy a break! Netjets market research, headed by Kevin Russell, is conducted from Woodbridge, NJ. They use a commercial service called JetNet as well as other services to determine your company's CEO, COO, CFO, President, Chairman, VP Transportation, Aviation Director, Chief Pilot and their addresses and phone numbers. The number and type of aircraft owned as well as credit ratings and company synopsis are also listed.

Major manufacturers and anyone who wants to sell airplanes also use these services. Gulfstream uses Brock, Lexis-Nexis, Hoover's, Dun and Bradstreet, JetNet, Forbes, Fortune, AMSTAT, and Air Services. Salesmen are also required to know the details about prospective customers in their territories. With most companies, if a competitor makes a sale in your territory, you get spanked.

With these kinds of resources at his disposal, I just don't see Kevin telling his executive assistant, "Get that dispatcher in Columbus on the line. I need the latest dope on Anheuser Busch!"
