It might have been one of those ideas that they were serious about, but decided to see the pax reaction to such a thing and then they thought twice about it. Dunno, but this guy really is a POS, so don't put it past him for coming up with something else like this.

That's because ALL AirTran pilots are based in ATL and ATL is where the Training Center is located.

If AirTran had other bases, and pilots from those bases had to come to ATL for Recurrent or any other type of training, those pilots would be given hotel rooms, per the contract.

When you travel to Europe, you'll get used to the idea of dropping a few coins to use any public bathrooms, including paid customers at Mickey D's.

DL gives hotels to all pilots whether or not you are based in ATL. You just have to ask...

That is correct. Mother DL doesn't give you a hotel room for recurrent if you're doing recurrent in ATL and are based in ATL.

Initial training they will.

A couple airlines decided to start charging 50% less than others, not give pax meals, did away with Saturday night stay, stopped charging them to change a ticket, undercut on all other fees.......all the while paying their employees less and having ********************tier work rules.

Sure, not as blatant or extreme as ryanair, but we still have the same themes here: trying to stir the pot and steal customers by charging lower ticket prices- no matter what the costs.

well... I really don't think you know anything about this O'leary dou c h e.... this is the guy that said he wants to make air travel FREEEEEE..... however, he said he's going to charge for the air you breathe on the airplane along with checking in, baggage, "toilet use"...and on and on and on.... maybe the same, but totally different .

Get what ya pay for

Lived in Europe (Germany) for a year and a half so I've seen this countless times. It'll cost a a few Euro cents to use a public restroom. It'll come as no surprise to these pax that can pay as little as 1 Euro cent for a ticket.
Hey, carry an empty Gatorade bottle and you'll always have a place to releave yourself.
