The bottom line right now is that no APA or AA official has made any indication that recalls are imminent. Rumor, unbridled optimism, wishful thinking, and whatever is running rampant. Of course since I'm at the new US Airways my future is secure so no worries, mates.

U.S.Air and secure should never be used in the same sentence. Piedmont, the old one, was doing great before Crystal City got hold of them.

Same could be said about Henson (today's Piedmont Airlines/USAir Express). I know.I was there and had a ringside seat when that "clusterfluk" of a merger occured. Not looking forward to the upcoming merger at all.

So are you going to go back if recalled?

The honest answer is that I have no idea. I will take the job that offers me the better QOL. I will very likely take advantage of the three-year deferral option.
