i had my interview on monday and was asked to class. anyone going to be in class on the 13th? i will post more on the interview later. thanks for everyones help

Heya Tony,

Not going to be in your class but when I was up in the training mezzanine (think thats spelled right) I saw the list for the new class and saw a Tony on there. I would think it is a safe assumption that it is indeed you.

Just passed through all of my training there in the PA-31. One piece of advice is Bob really is incredibly full of information just don't let his style of instruction discourage you.

And start STUDYING! If you have a heads up on the reg's list that they have given you it makes life easy. I would emphasize the O2 regs, Alternate requirments and duty days.

Also in my opinion the current crop of instructors right now are pretty darned good! Bunch of good guys!

I'm in BUR in the PA-31 as well.

A couple of us just flooded the cheiftain runs, now they don't even know what to do with me. I believe they are trying to get the more senior cheiftain guys up into the 99's so they can give us some steady runs.

Duc driver, if that SN means what I think it means...what kinda duc you ride? Got myself a 05' 999 that I LOVE!

How many PA31 runs do they have going out of BUR, and what are the runs like? I will be heading down there today. How long from start training till you get your first run?

Thanks
Tony

Also how does the flight training work? Do you just go with someone on a run for a week? Or do you go out and do approachs and stalls and all that crap?

So what do you think is the chances of Metro/1900/99. Flight times...Bases currently operating them and competitive times for getting into some of the bases.

I believe you have to do 'all that crap'. Their training is very challenging.

you start out with all that crap. you'll spend several sessions in the chieftain simulator, and then go out and do an LTQC (135 sic checkride). After that you'll be flying a run with a training captain, and during the middle of the day doing training flights consisting of all that crap. i'd be real proficient with all that crap too, because chieftain training in california airspace is no pushover. good luck.
