Ok one more question then. FracCapt reminded me that the 1900 is certified as single pilot on the certificate for AMF. This makes sense as I've flown King Airs single pilot. But my question is, is the same true for the Metro or EMB 120s? Thanks.

BE1900, SA227 and EMB120

Tar Heel,

It's not Ameriflight's certificate. The BE-1900 (just like the Kingair 300/350), and the SA-227 are NORMAL category (FAR 23 certification) airplanes and require one pilot for DAY VFR. They are allowed takeoff weights in excess of 12,500 pounds via the magic of SFAR 41. When they operate at weights in excess of 12,500 pounds they have takeoff performance limitations in the AFM that they have to meet, but they don't require a second pilot.

The EMB-120 (and I think Ameriflight operates some Lears) are TRANSPORT category (FAR 25) airplanes and require two pilots for DAY VFR. The AFM specifies the minimum required flight crew and states the pilot-in-command requires XXXX type rating.

Ameriflight has some kind of a "pay for it" program where they put first officers in the 1900s and Metros, but they are'nt required.

We MIGHT have either a Brasilia or a Metro based in Rockford, but I'm not 100% sure.

Beech Captains and Metro Captains can be found in just about any one of our bases, including quite a few outstations around the country.

what kind of pay do the 1900 and 99 guys receive?

Do any of you AMF guys/gals know how many ( if any) and what type of a/c are CVG based? How long might it take to hold that base?
Thanks in advance.

right now AMF is hiring street captains for the metros to be based in CVG so you could hold that base with no seniority at all same with San Juan and I think they need a metro pilot in OAK too
