American to buy Usair Shuttle?

Just heard a rumour that American is in talks with USAIR to purchase the shuttle. Anyone else heard this?

What would this mean? would the shuttle be flying under the american colors, staffed with american ground crews, pilots etc?

Maybe they want the slots and gates, but I doubt anything else. AA bid for the shuttle when U bought it so it's feasible, but they already have a RJ shuttle going if I remember correctly.
