Eagle for 6 months, then apply to SkyWest.

Everyone raves about Skywest. Well, I assume that they do most of their flying in the west. I don't hear much raving about regionals in the south east. Sorry to bust in. Have I just not been paying enough attention? Seems like all I hear is folks bitching about their regional jobs in the south east.

Eagle is probably one of the worst places you could go right now based solely on the fact that you will be in the right seat for 8+ years. If you really want to go to a regional instead of cargo, pick a place where you can atleast hope to upgrade after a few years.

Thanks guys,

Today I got call from Mesa, Pinnacle and Seaborne. It was nice day for me! I have been thinking what I really want after few years. It is pretty difficult to choose my way now. I want to try everything. I know I can not do it.

Is there any difference between Jet, Turb-Prop more than 12,500 or Less than 12,500?? Seaborne has Twin-Otter float and up grade is year and half if Cheif said true.

I am sure it will be difficult choice for me.

PS. Sounds like Nintendo98? hahaha,,,,,I am glad you are not my captain or students.

Well, what do you wanna do? Also, how old are you?

If you're a young guy with no attachments, you'll be fine whichever way you go. If I were a youngin with no family, personally, I'd go to Seaborne, get a multiengine sea rating, and then ATP multiengine land when you upgrade. This will give you so many stories later on down the road.

I watched these guys coming and going in St. Croix, and they looked way cool.

Comes at a price though - you will miss out on jet time, and potentially fast upgrade at Mesa and Pinnacle, but then again what will be there to set you apart from every other back-packin', iPod-listening, slicked-up hair RJ pilot? What a story - seaplanes in the Carribean. That'd be my choice.

Do you have a Multi-seaplane rating? How long before seaborne got back to you?

Eagle or 135 cargo? I say suicide, cause those choices suck! Alright, alright, if I have to pick, 135 cargo. Only because I have yet to come acrossed anyone that likes working at Eagle. I have jumpseated on them countless times, each time Captains with more hours than me are asking for jobs, even if it means being an FO again. However, don't go to a 135 cargo outfit that doesn't have a turboprop. You won't be doing yourself anygood if you can't get the TP PIC.

Oh, btw, you might try 135 Pax or small fractionals. Honestly though, you should hold out, sounds like the offers you have aren't quite good enough.

I agree with KSU. I wouldn't go to Mesa or Pinnacle either. I must admit I don't know much about Seaborne, but this one sounds like the best option if you don't decide to fly cargo. Freight Dog said there aren't any happy pilots at Eagle, well there are a lot of unhappy folks at Mesa too.

Have you tried Ameriflight or Airnet?
