Is it true that Mesa will have 38 CR9s flying for you soon? There goes your 737-200s.

Bye Bye--General Lee:rolleyes:

737-200's are scheduled to be gone by November but we have until March before they must be gone. They don't have EGPWS and the FAA mandated that all U.S. carriers must have EGPWS by next march.

We are getting 6 A320's this year which seat 150 pax each. With 7 737's leaving the fleet, there will be almost no loss in seats.

Yup, MESA is getting a lot of 900's.

While EGPWS won't be required until March, there still is the issue of the lap-seam inspections due with the next heavy checks. I understand the last -200's inspection is due in November, so EGPWS requirements are kind of moot. RVSM is also a con$ideration in the investment required to keep the -200's in service beyond the lap-seam deal.

On the other side, sounds like either 3 or 5 737's already parked in PHL for Mesa. It'll be quite interesting if/when they put their ab initio newhires in those things . . . And equally interesting to find out how long it will take until those things "creep" back out west competing against HP.

Just because I'm paranoid, doesn't mean they're not out to get us! Cheers!

Hey JC,

I am all for dumping mesa as soon as ONE 737 takes to the air in our scope violation!!!!! I think that my former company (Air Wis) may be looking for a new code share partner.

WD.

737s at Mesa. Scary thought, very scary thought. That's the last thing we need.

Yes, the CR9 is too big for a regional. It was an exciting idea three years ago, but now it sucks.

If we're talking payrates with the company, then we the peon-pilots have no idea. Seems that communication is a bit LACKING around here.
