I can't remember the name of the book, but I have already seen a book with all the AM listings. It was a pilot shop in either PWK or BFI.

But, what the heck. Competition is good, right!!!

What I want to know is, will it include the Navajo and Hopi stations in northern Arizona???? Now THOSE are some rockin' sounds!

iPod Baby!

sure, the ADF is great for kids and all that, but the more evolved aviator get's him/herself an iPod.
4,000 songs... you can always find something you both agree to listen to. the best part? no Rush Limbaugh!

I bought one a couple years ago from www.pilotshirts.com. It had ton's of am radio stations. It also was made so it could fit in your jepp's. It's about 15 to 20 card's long. A real savior.

White's Radio Log

Years ago, something called "White's Radio Log" was published. It had all the call letters and frequencies of AM stations. Dunno if it is still published; perhaps by some electronics magazine.

I recall one or two of the Indian radio stations from my time in Arizona and New Mexico. The tunes wail, but the stations are mostly locals or regionals and hard to pick up from a distance.

Hope that helps a little.

The freight dog's radio program...

"Coast-to-Coast radio"...too bad Art Bell isn't on anymore. He was the real deal. Only radio program that made me look up out the windows to see if there were any funny lights. Ghost story night was enough to keep you awake for sure.

For the PocketPC or Palm User

You can get one HERE for just $2. They have an FM version too.

I'm going one better: I'm a big TIVO fan for the TV and have been wanting to do the TIVO thing with radio too. Well, my brother-in-law introduced me to www.replay-radio.com where you can download a program to automatically record any streaming content on the web, or from external inputs. I just program it to record my favorite shows and dump them to the PocketPC's SD card for commercial-free playback at my pleasure!

Had to buy one of the darn things after Delta decided not to print the timetables any more! The Dell Axim A5 is working pretty good!

E-bay auction

The above is the link to the E-Bay auction site for the book. I do have to explain, though, that my printer didn't honor his quote so I had to go with the second lowest bidder which raised the price by $2. So after shipping it will only be $14. Thanks to anyone that buys, and anyone that just wants to look please do so, I want as many hits as possible :)

I have a better idea (and it's free).

How about we just put down the AM radio stations we know on this website (City, State, Station, Genre).
