Delta May Be In Better Shape Then Projected

Delta's five year plan starting in has already significantly reduced costs.

(AP) _ A pilots union economic expert says Delta Air Lines is in better competitive shape than its executives portray.
The expert testified in an arbitration hearing yesterday that Delta has performed so well recently that it doesn't need any of the 325 (m) million dollars in cuts it is seeking from its pilots.

Well isn't that GREAT?!!? No more SCOPE concessions either. I will vote NO on any TA that has larger RJs at DCI.

Too late General, DCI is gonna take over all domestic flying. ASA guys are gonna fly 100 seaters for 50 seat rates remember??? Then they'll get the pay up later. Just ask "Oh please", he'll explain it.

I hope you are getting the sarcasm here :)

I got it. OHPlease probably couldn't get past an interview anywhere, so he stays put and wishes for larger planes. Most of the RJDC pilots are like that.

Great! I guess that means Delta will be reporting profits on its next quarterly reports.

In the arbitration hearing, our CFO stated we had a $25 million profit for January, and we had an extra $400 million surprise for the end of 2005. But, we all know there will be one time charges and BK related expenses that will swallow up any of that. Just watch the cash on hand.
