Why did the BOD vote to give the national officers a raise. Why did the national officers accept it? Hmm then turn around and look for more income from dues.

Didn't happen. In fact, the President took a pay cut after 9/11.

Guess everyone should thank the US Air guys who voted themselves out of ALPA for this one.

Their right, of course. And good for them for taking a stand. (I guess)

However, it sets a dangerous precedent. If more pilot groups opt out, and the solution is to squeeze the remaining pilots for more cash, they'll only accelerate the trend.

Not that it makes it right or that I agree with it but I think this was coming down the pipe before US Airways was voting.

Nice try, but I think that CEO's and executives fit this description much better. And we know which party of our government gives them this power.

Remember, Execs, CEO's, business owners give schmucks like us places to work. Us working types are either too lazy or not bright enough to make it on our own or get into a high paying position. Both Political Parties do nothing but take in OUR money and redistribute where they see fit, as long as it is close to their wallet. Sound like any other organization you know of?

Please read this thread. We can defeat this!!

But either way, I am NOT paying dues on my 401k contributions 1 way or another. If by chance it passes, we merely rescind our dues authorizations
and when you get the bill in the mail, send back an empty envelope, perhaps a nice little letter that says once they help us "take back the profession" Ill pay them their dues in arrears. In other words pay them what their representation is worth, which is nothing!

Do you have a HS diploma or GED?

According to my rep that the National officers were voted a raise this year by the BOD.

The BOD didn't even have a meeting this year. You must have misunderstood. The BOD doesn't meet until October.

Do you have your head up praters a** or just his wee one in your mouth?

Just trying to help you out.... you seem to have maturity issues and a problem controlling your emotions, all while having difficulty with comprehension.

5,735 Posts? God you must pull all kinds of ass. I bet you yell ALPA's name in bed too. Tool.

As I said... High School...amatuer hour.... you're not typing for Mom's basement are you? :)

Could you, if you willed your brain to.... offer something pragmatic to this discussion?

Well I will try. I believe it's spelled amateur and from not for. :)
