Surplus-

Perhaps the genesis of the replacement for ALPA is right here on this board, considering the many discussions we have had here.

I can't imagine the proprietary pilot boards being involved with positive change. We however, are independent of a particular company or union, and we have members here from every corner of aviation. If we can't get the ball rolling, no one can.

Since all of you who work as 121 pilots have a direct stake in this problem, perhaps the future will begin with you.

As a matter of fact, I just said the other day that if only "they" would download the content of all CVR's on any given day and implement what they hear, most of the world's problems would be solved immediately. (Of course, for every serious, positive, uplifting political/philosophical discussion going on in the cockpit, there's someone somewhere else saying, "hey, check out the t!ts on her!"

Regarding the R.J. issue, I now feel like ALPA is an old dinosaur, struggling to survive in a world that is changing dramatically.

And the "regional" carriers are the small, fast mammals...

(And no, I don't mean rats, so just leave my analogy alone!)
