back when I was a Capt all my alpa stuff came addressed as "Capt so and so", now that I'm (we) are downgraded (due to no fault of our own) everything comes as "Mr. so and so".

My question is why doesn't ALPA still recognize you as a Capt as the downgrade wasn't your/our own doing? Just a general question, not that I really care, I don't want to seem like a 'Capt complex" type of pilot.

Also for other downgraded guys, how have you handled this with respect to your resume. I was told and the consensus on this board was to keep Capt in you job description/work history part of your resume. Last month I interviewed and during the general part of the interview they asked "so your currently a capt with so and so airlines". I told them straight out that i was downgraded and they didn't seem to care. They were more conserned about how the upgrade went and my performance during my time as capt, I got the feeling that they understood the downgrade was not my fault. I was offered a class date but turned the job down.

My hunch is ALPA is just trying not to put any salt in your wounds. If you wanted to put the issue out of your mind it would not be good to see"Capt So and So" on everything ALPA sent you.

Also, rather than say I was downgraded I might say I was displaced. Downgrade sounds more like it was your fault, which it wasn't.
