I am a furloughed TSA pilot with 7 months in. I am going to another carrier pretty soon, just dont know who yet. If this carrier is an ALPA carrier do I have to start my apprentice year over with this new carrier or will my previous 7 months count towards the year?

Your apprentice status is governed by that carrier's CBA, so there is no credit given for time served at other airlines.

So if their CBA says any time served as an ALPA apprentice/member will be counted towards our apprentice time then my 7 months would carry over otherwise I would start over.

thanks, but I wasnt asking about pay and company probation starting, I am well aware that it does, I was asking about ALPA "apprentice" time.

Unless your 7 months at TSA counts toward your probationary period at the new place, anticipate starting a new apprentice period. Why do you want to start paying dues anyway?

OK, that what I figured, but I just wasnt sure if it was an airline to airline thing or once you became an apprentice ALPA member, as long as you went to another ALPA airline you could keep your time already as an apprentice. So I guess that answers my questions.
