They just stopped by to show us their goods as a possible replacement for our -200's interisland.

Nice plane, but the payscales industry-wide for this plane make me sick.

Hey guys. When is Aloha going to start hiring again so I can cash it all in and move to paradise?

I like the airplane so far. It only has 9 less seats than a 737 and should be a money maker, especially with some incentives from Embrear.

Right now if any airline wanted to lease a 50 seat E-145, GOOD LUCK trying to even find one! I think if in the next 5 or 10 years Boeing makes a new 737, or another aircraft is found to be the uber-inter-island bird, AQ would have no problem getting rid of the E-jets to another carrier.

I've flown on the E170 as a pax and it is sure a lot more comfortable than any 737-200. I am sure your tourist customers would appreciate the E190.

:rolleyes:Yeah, the E-190 would be great provided that you get the RIGHT PAY RATE!!!! And I don't mean 80$ an hour for the left seat! The ALPA Brotherhood NEEDS to STAND TOGETHER on this one, or we are ALL DOOMED!!

No joke! But let's be realistic Hugh... do you see AQ paying us industry-leading pay to fly these things?
Industry leading? Well, maybe not, but hopefully a little industry recovery can lead to the bar coming back up a notch with the next company who buys these things. AQ certainly led the national carriers in their contract prior to the latest industry downturn. Would be nice to see that return when things get better.

Aloha would still fly the 737-700s to the West Coast I bet, and just use the E190s interisland. What would be used for cargo interisland? A quick change E190?

Bye Bye--General Lee
