I was watching the news tonight and this commercial for Hawaiis new "Third Airline" comes on and I was thinking "boy thats fast". then at the end of the 30 seconds its a spot for PACIFIC WINGS. Man i tell you, that Kahlstrom is a dork.

Some poor bastard is going to buy a ticket on them thinking its a stand up cabin turboprop with a stu and get a Cassna 402 or whatever the hell he flys over there.

I heard there are five guys in the pool waiting. Do they go first in the next class? Or can they be bypassed by the new interviewers?

Hey Sleepyhead, what are all these new hires going to fly?

...what are all these new hires going to fly?

That's a good question.
On the other hand, there will only be a net gain of approx 35 pilots by the end of 2004.
(we hired 36 so far, another 6 in July and maybe 6 in Sept, so far 2 have not made it through training and one has left, then there are 10 retirements in 04, that makes a net gain of 35) since we are getting 2 new airplanes, that increase makes senss.

The big question is how will the schedule change now that Island Air is sold?

I heard that someone recently flat out quit during IOE or during consolidation. Anyone else hear about this??
