Do you mail it to them or what? I could'nt find where to submit it on the website?

When do you think they will replace those gas-hog, archaic 737-200s? They are probably paid for (low financing costs) but the operational costs help to squander any remaining margin.

Really? Who? I don't think I do.

Everyone should keep an eye out for a Plan B. If you don't - you're playing a financially dangerous game.

Aloha is a great place... it's got some awesome work rules. Pay could be a bit better, but it's up to par with majors that have taken a beating over the last 5-6 years.

The problem is that the cancer of the industry showed up in the islands and started wreaking havoc on the interisland market so that now it's having an impact on airlines that failed to grow/diversify and hence depend on interisland for at least a good chunk of their income.

To top it off, the market for pilots is turning around. For example, if you were an FO, would you stay at Aloha if you got hired at a corporate gig and your starting pay is equivalent of Aloha's top captain pay? Or would you stay at Aloha wondering if they'll be able to pull it through with this lawsuit if you had a number at a profitable legacy carrier and you can go back and make the same income that you do at Aloha minus the worry if you'll have a job in the near future?

Everyone is different, and it's pretty shallow to call someone an idiot for looking at career opportunities beyond Aloha given Aloha's problems.

So from your defensive response I take it you either know the guy really well or you are the guy.
Which is it? Where is "your friend" going?

What are they suing them for? Do they have grounds to kick them out? It really is terrible to see all the undercutting. However, that is what the free enterprise system allows.

"free enterprise" does not mean "free-for-all" or "no holds barred", there are still laws that one has to abide by. these are called anti-trust laws.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Antitrust
http://www.abanet.org/antitrust/
http://www.law.cornell.edu/wex/index.php/Antitrust

lawsuits are usually launched on the premise of the defendant violating some law(s).

i am willing to bet that HAL and AQ have filed lawsuits because they are alleging that mesa is doing something that the free enterprise system does NOT allow.
