How does Sun Country fit into all of this?
Probably about the same as 717s, EMB-190s, Virgin, liquidation, no more interisland, and most other baseless rumors tossed out there. Then again, even a blind squirrel gets a nut once in a while!

For one - Sun Country fits in, as in, Aloha pilot salaries will now be in the Sun Country range.

That's not a rumor - that's directly from a union officer's mouth.

Just a simple question. Ease up. Is your source reliable? Just because pay rates match; it doesn't mean a merger is in the works.

Guys, I don't think Sun Country was mentioned because of any type of merger or agreement between Sun Country and Aloha. But rather because their experience in Bankruptcy Court, led by Banmiller, could hold clues to what is in store for us out here in the Pacific.

Jonathan Ornstein, the chairman and CEO of Mesa Air Group, said the company has been approached by Aloha Airlines.

The thought that we went to him is pretty chilling.

I don't see Sun Country mentioned in that article.

My sources say the big announcement is about a new route structure.

Is this the route structure where AQ buys back WP and furloughs all the Island Air guys in order to keep the interisland business? Sure hope that's not the case.

Nothing good can come out of these lastest events.

Don't they speak Hawaiin?

More cryptic crumbs for RJP...(don't say I never gave you anything...)

Aloha pilots can say hello to Sun Country...you figure it out...I'll give you til tomorrow at 2pm.

Shouldn't Aloha pilots say "aloha" to Sun Country vice "hello"?
