As far as a place to stay. They will contact you and ask if you are willing to have your name and number distributed to the others in the class.

I got together with 2 other people and we rented a 3-bedroom house fairly close to the schoolhouse. I believe the site was vacationrentals.com. I think each of us paid around 800 for 6 weeks of training. The rates listed on the website are higher than that but some of them will deal with you - especially for a solid 6 week rental. It was sure nice having your own bedroom in a nicely furnished house rather than a hotel room or a crash pad.

Still waiting to hear (they said the 9th) and I was wondering when do you find out what base you get? I really want LAS...I would commute to FL if I had to for a while, but I have no intention of moving there. Heard LAS is jr. right now, but I was hoping for a little more insight. Thanks

Should be able to get LAS right out of training I've heard. I'm just the opposite of you. Hoping for SFB right away.

With 3 new bases opening up and newhires filling in, it should be no problem to get whichever base you want. Captain upgrades should be coming from both LAS and SFB.
