Allegiant jumpseating

JA Pilot,

When you jumpseated on Allegiant how did you check loads? I've tried calling their 800 number and was told they couldn't tell me and that I should check at the counter. Ahhh, excuse me but, I don't think I'm going to fly to Vegas just to find out the flight is full. Thanks in advance.

Good pay, are you high? Did you look at the pay scale. MD80 top FO pay is $49 my god how is that good. CA $105 after 10 years that is bad.

Dude! I work at Allegiant and believe me the pay is NOT good, your off on the mins too.

Mins are close to 4000TT and 2000Jet. We've been taking less to fill classes.

Happy to offer a jumpseat but maybe you should have taken some O2.

Yeah, it sucks to be offered a job and be able to pay the bills and put food on the table. How dare they offer those guys money to fly! Its an outrage.

do they have a define benefit plan?...you know, like everyone else has oh, I mean except SWA.

Most of these young folks whose only experience was in RJs would be completely lost with the Douglas' more "traditional" avionics package.

"Allegiant 123 cross 40 west of Brickyard at flight level 180"

"uh...um...uh...unable!! We're negative FMS!!!"
