Little Whores!
This industry is changing rapidly. All of the above posts are very interesting in that they all reflect a move in one direction by ALPA. The one post that really summed it up was-
"One thing not mentioned in that little tidbit is that the ALG MEC within 48 hours of losing our MEC chairman, had completely reversed their previous stance (with advise from National ALPA and current Mangement) and went against the pilot groups opinion that we would give nothing without somekind of guarantee of a future! National ALPA with the help of scared mec's has turned regional airline pilots into little whores for ML pilots."
Is ALPA trying to manipulate the industry so that the Regionals cant get above the bar? I here an awfull lot of mainline guys blaming the regional pilots (the whores of the industry) for all of their problems. If we werent around, they would have no problems today! They constantly say that since we are working for less (which a good number of them did prior to thier mainline job!) management is replacing them with us, but ALPA does not seem to be trying to fix this situation. It seems as if ALPA wants to keep the differences in pay structures as far appart as they possibly can. In the manipulation process, ALPA is finding it very difficult to keep things the way then need them to go, hence the above dishonest tactict. ALPA is on the road to an implosion. I just wonder who and how the next group will be stomped on.
