I think waveflyer does a pretty good job of laying out a case for liberal thinking. I appreciate viewpoints from the left and the right.I think we need both. We can thank liberals from many of the huge improvements in our society from civil rights, labor movement and to much more to list here. And you certainly gotta laugh at people like Ann Coulter, if it wasn't for liberals, she wouldn't even be allowed to vote. Well I'll answer that since I work for Hawaiian. You might think I resent them but you'd be wrong.
Fact is there is going to be competition, yes they get paid less, but that isn't really why they are successful at what they do. They fly between cities were there is little competition. I'm guessing that is what they plan to do with the 75's. In fact, the business they bring to Hawaii will be good for the state, which in a roundabout way is good for Hawaiian. So I can't say I resent them at all. If I did it would be hypocritical anyway. There was a time when Hawaiian was the cheap operation to Hawaii. We certainly can't rest on our laurels but I'm confident that we will do fine no matter what happens. We are not the weak link in the market by any stretch of the imagination, but I can't begrudge anyone else entering it.
