Anyone know anything about "All ATPs" up in Seattle or Salem? Looking to get my flight exam done. I am not trying to impress anybody on this checkride either...just want to pass. Feel free to PM if you have some good info. Thanks much!

Don't know about those, however, the one in Dallas was a pretty good organization for a quickee ATP (including writtens, etc).

SALEM ALL ATP's

Salem is the gouge. 2 quick flights and the examiner is a reasonable person. Me and a buddy did it in Dec. If you do stay in Salem, hit the micro-brewery "The Ram".

I got mine with them in Pensacola in Dec 2000. I was instructing in the T-37 at the time out of Columbus, Ms so they were close. Pretty decent organization and I still wear the t-shirt.

Did mine in June in Salem. Examiner is very fair. (I've done several checkrides over the years w/him.) The instructor then was new CFI but pretty sharp & helpful.

I passed, but probably did not impress, but the pass is what's important. Like you, I'd been flying JetA for quite a few years, and never flew a Semenhole. But it is a very docile twin.

Important hint: Make sure you know all the memory items AllAtp sends you about the airplane. Don't worry about the ALLatp style of flying. It's set up more for their own students and a bit longheaded for an experienced pilot. All the examiner wants is for you to do is fly to the PTS; he doesn't want you to do the BS AllAtp standard call-outs (there are too many-ie 3 or 4 GUMPS call-outs while descending on the ILS). Just fly the way you normally would single-pilot.

Also, it's important to get proficient with the Garmin GNS430, which all their planes have installed. You can do this on the Garmin website.

PM me if you have any more questions.

Relax, and have fun.

Got mine through Salem awhile back, good program. One caveat, Salem (or Seattle) weather this time of year can stymie your "3-day" program due to icing potential. I was there in April, and we had to delay and re-schedule a couple of times. (Ice is no place to be in a Seminole, as far as I'm concerned).

They've got my endorsement. Memorize the book they give you for the oral, and just stay within tolerances on the checkride and they shall bless you. I received my ATP back in 2000 in Chicago from them. Good Luck. Should be a "non event."

All Atp's

I'm currently posting this from the office of an ATP location, and I've been very happy and impressed with their operation. The aircraft are in good shape (a lot better than the name brand flight school in SFB), and the instructor is really sharp. I will agree with the above poster that ATP's checklists and constant checking the fuel lever positions and gear down callouts are sorta new and distracting. My checkride was for this morning, but has been pushed back to tomm. due to WX. Like it was said above, just fly the PTS and don't worry about impressing anybody.........
