No, but pilots who fly for non-Union companies at 2/3rds our pay rate exert downward pressure on ALL our wages. Don't believe it? Ask a UAL or USAir where their current narrowbody pay rate came from. It was the jetBlue pay rate awarded to them by the bankruptcy court judge.

Its called cause and effect.

The judge chose JetBlue's pay scale after he decided their company was so unprofitable that they were going bankrupt. So that's somehow JetBlue's fault? Their pay was over $300/hr, clearly unsustainable in the post 9/11 environment. It was inevitable.
The judge could easily have chosen Southwest or Sun Country's pay scale, or even a regional airline's pay scale if he preferred. How on Earth can you blame JetBlue for anything that happened to your company? It was the decision of the judge as influenced by your own management.

When has a profitable airline ever lowered their pilot pay scales? Ever? The answer is: Never!
You should turn your anger against your largest competitors; the ones who actually hurt your bottom line and take money out of your pockets.

It makes absolutely no difference your pay scale if you're losing money. All pilots could have the exact same pay scale but if one company loses money and files bankruptcy, they WILL have their pay lowered by a judge.
