Any idea how long the process is going to take? Is there any kind of timeline?

Thanks

U.S. District Court Judge Robert S. Lasnik today, Tuesday, October 25,
heard oral arguments from attorneys for the Association and Alaska
Airlines on motions related to the lawsuit that seeks to have the Kasher
arbitration award dismissed.

The hearing lasted about an hour and a half. At the conclusion, Judge
Lasnik told both parties that he expects to issue his written ruling no
later than next Monday. The Association will update you on Judge
Lasnik's ruling as soon as it becomes available.

I am not holding my breath, but strange things could happen.

Thanks for the info. When it comes down to a judge making a decision, you just never know. Long shot, but better than no shot I guess.

Today, Friday, Oct. 28, 2005, U.S. District Court Judge Robert S. Lasnik
issued an order granting Alaska Airlines' motion to dismiss the ALPA
lawsuit seeking to vacate the Kasher arbitration award.

I am not surprised. I thought the lawsuit smelled of anger and desperation. Our energies and resources would have been better used preparing for '07 and beyond.

Though it was a long shot, it was certainly worth a try. We had nothing to lose. Now I guess we just get ready for 07 when they will certainly come after even more.
