Alaska pilots -

What is Alaska's policy about jumpseating to Mexico? Can it be reasonably done?

Thanks

Peace

SF

The last I heard Alaska does not allow international jumpseating to non-company employees. That was last spring so the policy may have changed.

I have to look, but I think we allow international j/s. You just cannot sit in the actual j/s.

There are no restrictions to Jumpseat to and from any International destination other than you have to ride in the back and comply with the normal customs b.s. Multiple Jumpers are welcome as long as you have an agreement with AS.
Even AS crew members must ride in the back at this time.
I've been going in and out of Cabo and PV and have carried a few Jumpers even with the very full flights.

Thanks all for the info. I work for Skyway/Midwest Connect in MKE but don't know if we have a J/S agreement with Alaska. I'll have to check.

I presume I should call the 800 number to list myself.

Again, thanks. :D

You will have to pay the departure taxes is all. It will be cheap...ie less than $50. No big deal. I did it a little while ago.
