Doesn't matter, the airplanes in and out of King Salmon are full with paying pax during the summer months, even PennAir is packed. Best bet if you really want to go is to buy a ticket. Otherwise, plan to head over to Ship's creek in ANC and enjoy the combat fishing.
Oops just read the post.... AKN is not the best place to jumpseat, but you could get to AK somehow. Good luck.
I tried to take an Alaska jumpseat out of SEA, and when I mentioned CASS, the gate agent looked at me like I was speaking a foreign language. Is there some code I need to know about? Thanks!
Twotter is right, JACS is the keyword for the gate agents. Alaska has a Jumpseat Authorized Control System, or some other useless acronym, that is one stop shopping for the gate agents. They don't know that CASS and non-CASS airlines are all included in the same program. All they know is they enter your airline (you had better know your two letter code) and other info off your id and it will tell them if you can ride and where on the aircraft you can sit.
