New bid results effective 1/31 released today. New hires vacancies as follows:

33 in ANC
8 in LAX
3 in SEA
1 in PDX

1442 pilots on property as of 8/1/12 (1402 active pilots)

Junior captain in each base:

ANC SEN# 991 DOH 4/01
LAX SEN# 853 DOH 5/00
PDX SEN# 859 DOH 6/00
SEA SEN# 805 DOH 11/99

One questions though. Why is D.O., number 15 on these bid results? Isn't he retiring in December? I mean, he had his retirement party like 5 years ago:eek:.

Good catch. It was pointed out to me by a jumpseater today and I was none the wiser. After a double check, it looks like we currenly have two D.O.s and next January we'll only have one.

Amazing thing is that he is on the walking wounded program after his pacemaker was installed! He is hoping to return to the line for the last 1 or 2 months before he turns 65!!! ???
